Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz

A public art university in Lodz, founded in 1945. It is one of seven academies of fine arts in Poland. The Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz offers studies in both classical art forms (such as graphic design, painting, or sculpture) and more innovative fields (including jewelry, animation, design, photography and multimedia, interior architecture, and new media).

For many, it's a second home. The club's cultural program is a result of the passions and interests of five individuals, the club's Founding Fathers.

ARTernatywa Foundation

The ARTernatywa Foundation combines art and alternative approaches. We focus on informal education, based on the principles of artistic humanities. This offers an alternative to traditional teaching methods, leading to understanding through practice and experience. Active participation is important to us. A key element of these activities is combining diverse fields (art history, philosophy, sociology, music, and foreign languages), which allows for multi-faceted communication and varied activities. The organization was founded in 2020 by three women from Lodz.

Founded in May 2023 by Kuba Szkudlarek and Zbigniew Olszyna, it organically grew from their art studios, creating an informal space that is not only locally significant but also inspiring for the artistic community. It is more than just an exhibition space; it is a true haven for art enthusiasts, created by artists for artists.

Light Move Festival

The idea to create the Light.Move.Festival, a 'Festival of Kinetic Light Art' in Lodz, emerged between 2009 and 2010. Its originators are Beata Konieczniak and Norbert Wasserfurth – Grzybowski. Captivated by Lodz's post-industrial yet eclectic architecture, they decided to introduce an event to the cultural calendar that would highlight the beauty and unique character of Lodz's buildings. They chose light as the medium to achieve this, along with the possibilities it offers.

City Art Gallery in Lodz

The City Art Gallery (MGS) was established by the City of Lodz Magistrate in 1924. It extensively presents Polish and international contemporary art across all techniques and media, including painting, graphic arts, drawing, sculpture, photography, artistic textiles, design, film, multimedia, performance, and installations. It also conducts educational and publishing activities.

MeMo Mediatheque

This is a place that combines traditional library collections with access to modern technologies. It's a space where everyone, regardless of age, can find something for themselves.

City Culture Zone

It began operations on November 1, 2021. Comprising 15 branches, it forms a well-functioning cultural and artistic institution. Its goal is to integrate, inspire, and engage all residents of Łódź.

Miłość Studio

Created out of a love for tattoos, people, colors, and originality. It's a place that breaks away from typical tattoo conventions, welcoming everyone. It is located in the attic of one of Łódź's tenement houses.

Połówka

Simply put, throughout the summer, we screen outdoor films at various locations across Łódź. Each year, we attract over 50,000 viewers.

Radio Kapitał

A community-based online radio station that broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is a modern platform for social and artistic dialogue, presenting original programs on culture, society, history, literature, art, and music across various genres.

Student Radio Żak of Lodz University of Technology

It is one of the oldest academic radio stations in Poland. You can listen to it on 88.8 MHz in Łódź and its surroundings, and online worldwide. Żak is the only radio station in Poland fully managed by students themselves, who do not receive payment for their work, as the radio's operations are based on volunteering. Its program schedule boasts original shows covering cultural, social, musical, sports, and journalistic topics.
